What Is OMT?

Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) is a set of hands-on techniques used by osteopathic physicians to diagnose, treat, and prevent illness and injury. Dr. Burns uses her hands to manipulate the muscles, soft tissues, and joints of your body.

Dr. Burns has a particular focus on fascia — the connective tissue that envelops and connects every structure in your body — as well as energy rhythms and ligament/tendon health. Restrictions in these areas affect far more than just local pain.

Treatments range from gentle and relaxing to more intensive, depending on your condition and goals. Every session is personalized to restore your body's optimal function.
